The Polish Eastern Medical Cluster was established on October 15, 2008 as an agreement between 12 companies, universities and research centers. It is an open, supra-regional, international, constantly growing organizational structure, operating in the medicine, healthcare and related industries. Currently, it associates entities representing enterprises, universities, hospitals and health centers.
The main idea of the cluster is to make the best use of the potential of academia, companies from the medical technology industry, suppliers and recipients of medical services, local governments and business support institutions. Its mission is to increase innovation and competitiveness, resulting from the accumulation of knowledge, intellectual capital and the possibilities of their use.
The Polish Eastern Medical Cluster is a working and development environment that combines the flexibility of small businesses with innovation and the global scale of operations of large companies.
